Séchoir Summer Beauty - Our Favorite Products

We're halfway through summer already (can you believe it?) and in the past few weeks we've had the time to perfect our a-game when it comes to easy, summer beauty hacks. Here's what we're currently loving...

1. Asian Exfoliating Bath Cloths

They're not fancy, but boy do they work. During summer months, we are constantly clogging our pores with body oils, moisturizers and sunscreens, so especially on pool/beach days, I love to shower at the end of the day with these small-but-mighty Asian Exfoliating Cloths. Korean Spas (which are quite popular here in LA) use these gems to buff, massage and exfoliate full bodies, and I was happy to find them on Amazon for a great price.

My tips for using them:
- Although they are small, the fabric is stretchy. Put it on your hand and use your other hand to stretch it out so it gives maximum coverage.
- Lather with soap and gently - key word, gently - massage your skin in circles and long strokes. Do not scrub - the fabric already does that well for you.
- Rinse, and again stretch out the fabric once you're finished.

- The cloths are machine washable (YAY!) so I wash and trade out my cloths once a week.
- Depending on your skin type, you may or may not want to use them on your face. It's a pretty intense exfoliation so I don't recommend using more than once per day if your skin can tolerate it.

Cheers to baby-bottom-smooth skin!

2. Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater

I'm a big-time Nordstrom Rack shopper, both online and in store. So when I got the tip that this amazing facial spray/toner was available for just $5 bucks at the rack, I thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did, as it's become one of my favorite summer refreshers!

I keep one on my makeup vanity tray to spritz on after moisturizer and before makeup, and keep one in my purse for those days that I'm running around in the sweltering heat, and need a little pick-me-up. The scent is so light and lovely, that it doubles as an oh-so-subtle fragrance with hints of herbs and rose.

It's one of those things you didn't realize you needed until you had it!

3. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

For over a decade as a makeup artist and hair stylist, I've been lucky enough to try out several beauty products, and even test out some before they hit the market. One brand that I find myself reaching for again and again is Oribe. If you know fashion/beauty, you know Oribe. The famous hair stylist and creator, Oribe Canales began his career backstage at fashion shows and stunned everyone with hair on the models - so beautiful, that it became as much of a buzz as the haute couture. So the beauty world was more than a little excited when he finally launched his own line of hair care products.

When the days are hot, and the nights aren't much better, no one really wants to mess with perfect hair. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray is my latest obsession! It gives gorgeous texture for that undone, sexy, summer look. It's perfect after you curl your hair to give it just the right amount of texture and "oomph" that it needs. I also like to use it as a dry shampoo when I've been out all day and feeling like I might just melt - to give my hair a lift. It's free of parabens and also smells amazing. Grassy-Based Givaudan who did Tom Ford's scent was on board. Double win!
